Sigh. Apparently every time I want to switch from my RL gmail to my fandom gmail and back, I have to log out and "remove" the account, because otherwise Google wants to connect them as two accounts under my real name. Seriously, Google, when did you become FB, insisting no one should have privacy or separation of any kind?

I HATE this with a passion. What I generally do is keep two browsers open. IE for fandom stuff, Firefox for personal. It's the only way to get around it.

I like that idea but for two reasons (2.5 really). One being, lately, my computer has a tendency to overheat/overwork, especially if I flick through more than 3 pages of tumblr at a time which causes 1.5 in that it will say webpages are not responding and reload everything which means I often lose things and get the rainbow wheel of death and I have to force quit safari. And two - the bigger concern - I use my computer for teaching and I'm always exceedingly paranoid I'll have a fandom thing somewhere and have it pop up mid lecture (like, if I can't put a vid into the ppt, I always load it before class so I don't have to go to bookmarks which includes folders with "fandom" or "fanfic" in the title, lol).

So, suffice to say, I'm very annoyed that they've put this into practice. Fuck you, gmail. :P
